Greetings,

The final issue of The Paper was handed out last week - August 1st 2002 Issue 192.

Due to the need to take time out from ministries and reassess what it is God wants me to do I am leaving BB after about 10 years at Toongabbie. The Paper ends with me - I have thought hard about it and have been happy to hand over everything else I have done at BB but The Paper was my creation and work, and although it continued thanks to it's value to the guys and their parents I want The Paper to be something that is uniquely mine.

There are people talking about a new No.2 Section newsletter and I really hope that something does continue - it will just be called something other than The Paper. At the moment there is no news as to when the new newsletter will start, and if it does then you hear about it on this page, and if you are on the list then you will emailed about it. If the new newsletter is published on line then it will be found at or near the bb38th website.

I have really enjoyed doing The Paper and I will miss it, but I know that I will miss the guys even more. Please keep in touch with my via my personal website and follow the adventures of bb38th No.2 Section.

Thanks to all of you for your support over the years and I hope that you have enjoyed reading The Paper even just a little bit as much as I have enjoyed creating it.

enjoy...

Spoke to Ashers last night at Church and he spent most of the week at challenge camp being sick and dosed up on Demazin - so apart from becoming a Demazin Junkie did Ahsers get anything out of it - "Yes, I got a few things out of it"

Timothy Q is attending Leadership Development Course Stage 2 which includes a three day solo in the bush. It should be a great time for Timothy Q and an awesome experience. bjd is Course Director whilst Matty F debuts as a Stage 1 Squad Officer which is pretty excitiing. The Reverend Bell teams up again as the Happy Chappy.

Steve has joined The Paper online news team, so hopefully we will get a dose of sport news on a regular basis. But then again, maybe we won't.

In other news, James is sick and asleep on the couch.

I have just looked at what the website guys are doing for skills tonight and it sounds like some real updates will be coming to the company website very soon. Oh and Praetor has done a very nice job of putting together all the ideas from last week to come up with a very snazzy looking navigation/page layout for the site. Stay Tuned.

There are games tonight and as soon as we know - then you will too.

bjd reports that Old Grey is on the road and thanks The Noble One for his help.

And just in case you are missing the weekly quotes from the mouth of Blue Haired James then I have a feeling a new page will be on the website which will help meet that craving for more words of wisdom. But remember, the Blue Haired James is just a man like us and The Paper takes no responsibility for decisions made based upon the wisdom of the Blue Haired James.

Wentworthville Uniting vs St. Claire
After losing to this team 10-1 in the first round, Wenty weren't going to let that happen again.........

Wenty played the best they have all season. Strong defence and marvouless attack-in the first half-lead to more shots than St.Claire and some shots very close. Some shots were aimed at the keeper but defenders were on us. Nil all at half time........

Wenty held St. Claire off for about 20 mins until they struck with a good goal. In poor conditions in the field in the second half (and
after a poor goal-kick) they scored again. After the team had some more confidence a few more goals came in. As well as one off a corner with a mix up between a defender and our goalie.

Considering that this team is on top of the competition i think that Wenty did well only losing 5-0.

And Sinkers won 24-18, with one of the forwards dislocating his knee.

The Special Bus is awaiting another quote before repairs can begin. And bjd has a rental car for the next two days until Old Grey gets repaired - it's a great vehicle which barely goes, it's yellow and leaves a nice smoke screen behind me wherever I go. Hopefully it makes it through the next two days.

New Icons based on freeware icons from the IconFactory.
Not a good weekend for vehicles - Steves Sport's Mobile is off the road with a broken head gasket - this means a new engine and a lot of money. And bjd's car is off the road until Tuesday with an Automatic Transmission that needs a rebuild. God works in nifty ways though with Danny The M's Dad arriving at the Transmisson Shop at exactly the same time bjd dropped off the troubled old grey - and offered bjd a lift home. The Special Bus is yet to be repaired.
Went to the game today, and a cold day it was, not made any better by the Old Farty Pants losing 3-0 and Even Fartier losing 2-0. The Second game was the better of the two, with a few chances going missing, but at least they took some chances. A cold Praetor journeyed to the game and regretting not taking a jumper with him. The Noble One visited briefly before leaving. More from Steves Sport soon.

Another Freame Frenzy is on the way this Saturday - Steves Sport has vowed to attend Danny The T's soccer match so an on the spot report should be coming our way soon.

Jeff the Butcher gave us a visit last night and amazed us all with his stories of life in the Butchery, sounds like hard work actually. It was good to see Jeff as it's been a long while. He got a few cuts and abrasions during caveman, but as always came up smiling.

The Website team actually updated the company website and I overheard an excited Noble One taking to Praetor about plans for mixing the Young Guns first single - I've heard the song and it's great!

In other skills news the Cooking With Pete team enjoyed their hamburgers and The Golfing guys went out with Steves Sport to the local driving range to bash a few golf balls.
